OUR 4-STAR CAMPSITE IS SITUATED ON THE “ROMANTIC ROAD” – RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GLORIOUS PFAFFENWINKEL (PRIEST’S CORNER), A REGION WITH SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SCENERY IN UPPER BAVARIA.

In the foothills of the Alps, with the mountains in easy reach. The area has always had a powerful appeal to the people who came here, with its unique location between the Lech and Ammer rivers and its breathtaking scenery.

Monks and nuns – the “Pfaffen” (priests) who gave this glorious corner of the earth its name – had already settled here hundreds of years ago. 159 churches and numerous monasteries bear witness to this today. The royal palaces of the Swan King, Ludwig II, are close by, along with countless leisure and sports facilities. All of this makes our well-tended, family-run, terraced Campsite am Richterbichl into just the right place for your summer and winter camping in Rottenbuch.

OUR CAMPSITE

Staying at our family-friendly facility with a playground and idyllic bathing pond is a vacation experience in itself. However, the surrounding area also offers every imaginable excursion destination, from wellness to culture to adventure. Just as diverse as your experiences in Pfaffenwinkel and the surrounding area can be, so can your stay at our campsite in Rottenbuch, as we offer various accommodation options: in your own tent, in our sleeping hut, and in our sleeping barrels, in your motorhome or caravan, as well as in our four-star holiday apartment – just as you like. The kiosk, as well as all other facilities at Terrassen-Camping am Richterbichl, are of course available to you regardless of your chosen sleeping arrangement. And dogs are also welcome here.

Camping is a pleasurable experience with us, with so many exciting and interesting things to do. We have 60 pitches on our beautiful terraced campsite, for tents, mobile homes and caravans. For those who seek a bit more comfort, we also have sleeping cabins and sleeping barrels. These let you combine the adventurous experience of a camping holiday with the comfort of a real bed. Is that not comfortable enough for you? No problem! Then hire our 4-star holiday apartment and feel really cosy – you can then enjoy the Pfaffenwinkel and its sights from the comfort of your own little home from home.

Our campsite is right in the middle of the Pfaffenwinkel, a beautiful part of South Bavaria. There are numerous palaces and castles to admire, mountains to climb and museums to visit. Come and be enchanted by the splendid palaces built by Ludwig II and be inspired by the craftsmanship and mural art in Oberammergau. Take a stroll through the wild Partnach gorge or enjoy the breathtaking view from high Peissenberg. Discover the fascinating places to visit all round our campsite, here, with us in Rottenbuch, not far from the Neuschwanstein castle.

As well as rolls and home-made jams, you will also find everything you need for your rustic camper’s breakfast in our kiosk.

Or perhaps it’s not your thing to have breakfast on a folding chair in front of your tent? No problem! On the terrace and in our guest’s lounge we serve breakfast with regional products, hot and cold snacks and light meals in both the high and low season.
